These Powershift push button gear shifter systems are the most compact of all the push button gear shifter systems available which can select gears both up and down the gearbox. Neutral can be selected easily by momentarily pressing either the up or down buttons due to it's unique compact servo design. The success of this innovative design is due to the control of the shifter action and its operating characteristics in being able to mimic the speed and movement of the human foot/hand during it's shift cycle culminating in the perfect gearshift simulation which does not put further stress on the gear box as other solenoid type shifter systems.
The TLS-PSR2-PRO+ system comes with a CNC machined aluminium bracket which houses the 2 weather proof gold plated contact tactile shift buttons and is suitable for mounting around 7/8" handle bars on metric motorcycles. Each button has gold plated contacts to ensure only the cleanest shift signal.
Once the Powershifter is installed gears are selected via the shift buttons although you can still manually shift gear as a 'get you to the finish line' or 'get back home' situation. This safety feature means that if there was a failure of the bikes/vehicles electrical systems gears can still be selected to ensure you can finish the race or get home safely.
Translogic's PSR-PRO+ systems feature the Intellishift and Blip Assist outputs ready for connection to the optional Intellishift, QSX Quickshifter and Blip Assist ECUs. The PSR-PRO+ Powershift system has a unique 'shift lock' feature where the Powershift ECU monitors the engines RPMs and ensures a gearshift is fully executed (suitable for all +12v ignition types).
Installation information
This product is universal and is not specific to a motorcycle model. It will be necessary to fabricate a mounting bracket for the shift system body unless a suitable surface is available. A special "rod end damper" is installed on the servo shifter arm, it must never be removed ! Two M6 rod ends with a tie rod are provided for ease of installation. Translogic cannot guarantee the compatibility of the "Powershifter" with shifter systems from other brands, however the "Powershifter" can be installed independently of any Quickshifter system, in which case the use of the clutch lever remains necessary. We recommend hiring a professional for the installation of this product. The "Powershifter" has been designed to reproduce a gear change speed similar to that operated by the human foot. 2 to 3 gearshifts can be achieved in a 1 second period. If you are looking for faster gear changes, the "Powershifter" may not be suitable for your application.
TRANSLOGIC warranty conditions
- Translogic Powershifter complete kits are backed by a 6-month warranty, which begins from the date of purchase of the product against any defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty is personal to the purchaser and is not transferable.
- The cases of warranty exclusion are : use in competition, as well as applications such as motocross, supermoto, Dirt Buggy, Formula SAE, Kart, etc., failure to comply with the assembly instructions, unsuitable use, incorrect assembly or maintenance.
- Translogic spare parts for Powershifter are covered by a 6-month warranty. Translogic components/parts fitted or used with elements or devices other than Translogic are not covered by any warranty.
- In the event of a defect during the warranty period, the product must be returned to Translogic USA or the place of purchase with proof of purchase. This warranty does not cover the cost of labor or shipping to and from Translogic USA.
- Translogic USA will examine the product and, if it is found to be defective due to defective materials or poor workmanship, will repair or replace the product at its option, free of charge.
- If a component is replaced during the warranty period, the expiry of the warranty period remains the same, it is not extended.
- If the product covered by this warranty is damaged due to accidents, misuse, unauthorized modification or repair, shortening of cables, broken watertight seals due to cable outlet bending/pulling, incorrect electrical connections, or improper installation not in accordance with that described in the user manual, This warranty becomes void.
- This warranty does not cover wear and tear on the product/component. If any component of the product fails or has a defect during the warranty period, but it is due to general wear and tear, it will not be covered by this warranty.
- Returned products must be packaged carefully to avoid damage during transit. Please include the details of the defect as well as your name, address and contact phone numbers and proof of purchase.
